    the spring doesnt have to be perfect, as long as its there to push it up into the hole. the tensioner itself is hydraulic, it wont release until you let the oil out (by undoing the bolt you pulled out). but you do need the spring just to take up the slack until it builds up the oil pressure.

    you need, as mentioned, a 12v rectifier regulator. standard wires from the engine should be something with RED(white with red stripe, black with red stripe, etc), thats the charge for the CDI unit. something with BLUE, thats the trigger for the CDI unit. it runs, so thats fine...i assume? :)...

    my bad. its just a jackshaft sprocket... as someone said, your question isnt exactly clear. some of what i said applies. go see an industrial sprocket supplier, get two sprockets, go see a machinist and offer him some beer to join the two together and bore them out for bearings.
