MAR 07 50 of the month pole (vote here)

Yep....currently have a 110 3v in it w' crower G2 cam and a Pro Circuit exhaust but now have some other stuff in mind. Race rules for "mini quads" are limited to (110cc + 5%)115.5cc for kids and has now been changed to (125cc + 5%) 131cc adult "pit quad" racing. So now I'm after a Outlaw...

    Lifan vs. Everything Else

    http://www.jlhonda.com/ Well.........blah blah blah........Jialing Honda.

    Lifan vs. Everything Else

GPX is Jialing......Jialing is Honda. They are very expensive compared to the Lifan and have no real performance advantage but they are reliable and strong.

    keihin 28mm Flatslide carb

I still think it will be too big. A flatslide will flow much more than a oval bore mikuni. You're not really going from 25mm to 28mm; its like going from a 24mm Mikuni to a 30mm Mikuni. I think a 26mm flatslide would be more than enough and only if you do the mods you plan....JMO

    Lowering Cubic capacity?

The first thing you need to do is check that the rule book doesn't have a +/- capacity of 5%. My race class is 110cc with 5% allowance making it 115.5cc max capacity but still called 110 class.

Just spoke to the local motovert dealer

Ohhh yeah.....slaped with the ugly stick and then asked for more. Not CRF tank so you can even bolt aftermarket plastics on it......its ugly for ever. And it is'nt that good in the fist place.

    boring an high compression piston

If you look at my Topic "Build a race Motor" I now have a 110 3v in my quad. It's actually 107cc but I have a high comp 54mm piston and cam on the way making it about 114cc; about as big as you can go without major mods. This stuff cost me $220US. The piston is for a 2v so I will have to get...

    Cool Fiddy Stand.

It's not such a bad idea.....maybe not fully thought out. Have you thought of running the thing in reverse to draw heat away instead of blowing cool air/water on to it.

    Build a race motor

Well.....I'm hearing ya; but dont want to shell out $3k + when I have spent a total of $600 so far and am pretty happy with what I've got. I just cant see a Kitaco 108 being 5 times as good........or 5 times as strong for 5 times the price. The close ratio gearbox set for my motor is $89 US. I...
