Not quite 1-0 just yet. sigh. im talking about MY yx160... cases are apart at the moment and i was thinking of converting it to electric start (engine is in a MotoVert RX) and the starter motor is gonna hit the nipples for the oil cooler. was looking at ways around this. right angled banjo...

^^^^^ uh... no. the ports on my yx160 tap into the centre case, one line goes TO the oil cooler, other port is the return line. loops arent carring it to important places, just to the cooler and back again. Disadvantages of no cooler. hotter engine maybe if youre holding WOT everywhere or...

why bother with the loop? if you aren't gonna run a oil cooler simply block the ports up with a bolt (same length and thread pitch as the nipples that bolt into the case) Add a washer (and a dab of silicone so it doesnt vibrate out) Job done. those loops just look like they are waiting to get...

yeah i tried to find a bearing locally. no dice. :( have to use the needle roller bearing that came with it. it should hold up, plus its gotta be better than the ****** old one. also, note to others, new case did need a little sanding so the bearings would sit in. they were waaaaay too...

Hey all, Just thought since ive just busted my cases and before i bolt it all back together, id chuck up a pic of the new/strengthened cases to suit the yx160. excuse the lame mspaint skillz. Just for those that havent done a case swap, (and i dont wish it on anyone, its a c**t of a job!)...
