    Hydro clutch

I have fitted them to the mainshaft mounted clutches. Even then the mount has needed to be ground right back each time to get the correct adjustment.

    motovert VS my pitpro's lol

Depends which model from what year you are talking about. If its last years 110 then yeah, but that is nothing unique to motovert. Just a motor from the jailing range they thought they'd try in that model. Have a close look at the frame and other parts on one of those 110's. Exact frame DHZ and...

    motovert VS my pitpro's lol

The motoverts have nothing extra other than bling. They are plain an' simple China like all the rest. Especially when it comes to the engines they are running. A stock Lifan is the same in any bike as is a stock Jailing etc. Many of your top sellers and 'Brands' are coming from the same...

Possible to back in a minimotard?

You can back one in. Coming in hotter than a big bike is the key. The little bikes corner better so you have to push them in further and harder to get same effect. This is as close a piccy as I got. I can't remember where I found this photo, but all credit to where ever it comes from....

    Flat spot in mid range.

Shes getting better air flow and leaning out when you open off idle. Things to look at are air/fuel screw, larger idle jet, faster needle taper, different slide cutaway and sometimes just cleaning up the intake system will eliminate problem.

    High Rise Cam

You should port the head and have a three angle valve job done. The longer duration cams really want good flow past the valves at low to mid lift for best performance and reliable running. I know most don't have the tools required, but you should find out what amount of advance/retard the cam is...

Modding the engine step by step + trouble shooting

    BTW hows the motor run?

Modding the engine step by step + trouble shooting

it has nothing to do with the cam you run but the expansion of the materials used in the top end when at running temp. He means 4 thou I think which is correct.

    Need Stronger Front Brake

get better pad material put on by brake joint
  12. M

    China brakes

they are self centering. I know its sounds stupid but check first you don't have both pads on the on side. Seen it before. Also on some models the pads have two little tags which can get caught on the caliper body not allowing the centering of both pads.

    ?? 30mm flatslide or 30 mm mikuni for 140 ??

I have found (probably because they are expensive), a good exhaust is one of the most commonly left out items by guys chasing performance. You really will make it hard on yourself adding bigger carbs and messing with cams and head porting with the crap stock pipes. Even the bigger dia stock...

    the carby situation,guidelines needed...

It is quite easy to make your own exhaust that is far quieter than anything out there yet performs better than anything out there..

    the carby situation,guidelines needed...

just like cactus said I think your exhaust is forcing you to detune your carb just to get it to run. As with most things, you must make changes in multiple areas to acheive more power and smooth running. You really should get a big exhaust before you bother jetting that carb. Then I think you'll...

    ?? 30mm flatslide or 30 mm mikuni for 140 ??

yes the 30 is way too big. The 28 can be tuned to suit with some effort and good results, but the 26 is the best match.

    185cc GILFAX MONSTER MOTOR

That is what you should do tubes, if you are porting a 140 head you will find that if you are careful and leave it a little raised leading up to the guide you will not break through to the spring seat area. The exhaust guide can be faired off and shortened a little like 3mm or so and deepen the...

    185cc GILFAX MONSTER MOTOR

RK was testing many port configurations at that time, and that was one of them. He almost always ground out the exhaust guide as he obviously knew that there where gains in the exhaust port of these heads (which there is)and also he knew the guide was also going to probably outlive the engine...

What you guys want in a China.....

How 'bout sporting 70 size plastics on the 14/12 bikes instead of the ridiculous looking 50 plastics. Even Apollo motorcycles knew to ditch the little plastics when going to 14/12 wheelsize. Thats why guys still buy them because they look right. Same with the success on the pitster xr, they...

Lifan Blowing Air Out of the Carby

Thats good to here dasqer... most often than not its a simple fix. I'm sure there are heaps of bikes retired early because of an easy fixed problem.
