Nice, i'm looking at upgrading to a 600rr in a year or so. I love the look of the 05/06 model. In the meantime I am considering selling my bike to buy an RVF400. I have a soft spot for them and even though they are overpriced, there have been some relatively cheap ones for sale lately.

Yeah had a look on the website, looks unreal! and pretty cheap for some track time. If only I wasn't going away over the easter break :( Will definitely go next year though.

    CBR250RR build

Yeah it was pretty annoying that they failed it for such silly reasons. I questioned it and pointed out that it wasnt part of the RWC requirements but they woudn't budge. Didn't want to give them a reason to fail me again. I had my tools with me so could have fixed it on the spot but they were...

    CBR250RR build

It bloody failed the first time for a bunch of silly reasons. They went over it with a fine tooth comb. Their reasons for failure and the resolution: - ‘Right fairing mounting lug didn’t meet up with bracket’ This fairing piece is a Chinese one so the lug was in the wrong spot. Didn’t affect...

Yeah I can't wait :D unfortunately though my mate that I'll be doing my riding with spilled on his Ducati so it'll be at the shop for a few weeks. Will have to do the twisties on my own until then

While changing the temp sensor I decided to check the thermostat: <a href="http://s141.photobucket.com/user/nossta/media/IMAG0681.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r60/nossta/IMAG0681.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMAG0681.jpg"/></a> Stuffed. It explains why...

    CBR250RR build

That's good to hear :D I managed to find a temp sensor for $15 from a guy that was selling a bulk lot of parts on gumtree so i'll be able to get the temp gauge working prior to roadworthy anyway :D

    CBR250RR build

After looking at the photo's, the colour of the lower fork legs is really annoying me, it just doesn't work. I might look into plasti-dipping them black at some point. I'm also considering plasti-dipping the muffler while i'm at it. I have read that Plasti-dip is heat resistant and suitable for...

    CBR250RR build

seals arrived and the new hoops are on :D also replaced the pads with Metal Gear organic's. The new bearings are awesome, the wheels spin beautifully - far better than previously with the 20 year old bearings. Will be saving up for the next few weeks for Draggin jeans, RWC and rego. Does...

    CBR250RR build

Well I finally decided to get my act together and get this bike on the road. This weekend I put the bike on stands, removed the wheels and gave them a thorough clean. It looks like this bike hasn't had a proper clean in 20 years - had to get a toothbrush out to remove the buildup in the spokes...

    CBR250RR build

Progress has been slow but yesterday I installed a fan bypass switch so that I can manually turn the cooling fan on, as well as installing new mirrors. I will hopefully be getting new tyres soon. As the tyre installation will be free if I bring just the wheels in I might as well take the...

    CBR250RR build

Progress has been slow lately as i'm trying to sell my pitbike to fund this project. I have upgraded to a lithium battery which is unreal. Only weighs 400g and is tiny compared to the old battery but it cranks the bike over far easier and wont need recharging every time I leave it for a few...
