    OKO26 carb kit from DHZ is about $120 posted, muffler mod is free, just cut it down, re-attach the end cap... freed up a good 2-3 hp in the Blitz.... so the opportunity to do the same on the GS is there, with the added bonus of 2 extra valves to help breathing... be good to take a better look at...

    topgun the TTR comes with a jetting kit, and the 42/102.5 combination can be found in the spares kit. Dont even bother riding it with the stock jets, whip em out, and go straight to the 42/102.5 combo.. Rip is right though, the PE-26 or 28 will be a slightly "tamer" carby... outright power will...

    well if it's anything like the blitz, the suspension will be it's downfall or weak point... which was fixed pretty cheaply with some YZF parts... i need to find myself a job, this 4v engine has me a little curious as to what a decent pipe and an OKO would do to it.... :) Might make one of these...

    nah i run 91 unleaded or E85 if i can get it. cheaper and it means i dont have to tune everything differently depending on what fuel i can get...

    yeah if he's only asking $650 for it, talk him down to 600, and spend the $200 on an oko 26mm carby and fancy new grips or something. if it's running ok, and the suspension isnt leaking, then yeah, i'd grab it.

    you didnt mention what sorta carb your running, that might help too... 20mm, i'm guessing mikuni or something? if it's dying when you crack the throttle quickly, i'd say it's a combination of slightly too big pilot jet, needle is set too high, and possibly the main is a tad on the fat...
