Carby / Jetting settings for your bike.

guessing the 175 breathes a bit better, cause anything under a 38 pilot, and it was backfiring like a mofo on deceleration.... heaps responsive, too responsive actually, but yeah, a bit lean... Kinda strange that the Blitz 250 was perfectly happy with a 36 pilot, but the 175 rather dislikes...

    Italian 220cc . Billet Engine

torque from a short stroke motor? sounds like this thing goes against all the basic principles of bore/stroke dimensions.... short stroke and oversquare usually means very revvy, grabs revs very quickly, responsive but at the expense of actual torque.... this thing sounds like the opposite...

    ATOMIK 160cc BIGFOOT

hmm sounds like quality control at DNM is awesome... mine came with 225 in the right leg, 200ml in the left leg...

    Italian 220cc . Billet Engine

what surprises me is that it's got such a short stroke, which probably means a slipper piston, is massively oversquare, but still only revs to 11500rpm... high rev ceiling, but given the dimensions of the motor, the possibilities are for a 14-15000rpm ceiling... guessing the sohc probably...

    ATOMIK 160cc BIGFOOT

hey cosmik how have you found the M-200's with 10w at 175ml?? The RevMX's run the same fork, i've set mine with 5w at 225ml... Do you still find them to be a little on the stiff side with the 10w???

    Xr100r 1991

why not upgrade at the same time, and run a Keihin Replica PE-24? Would be suited to the capacity of the engine, and is far better quality than the fakuni you listed....

    Recreation Registration

should be. The Lifan 140 runs a lighting coil on the stock stator... Pretty sure the power feed comes from the yellow wire... or was it the white one... i cant remember... i think atomik do rec rego kits for pitbikes..

KX 65 VS Pitster pro X4R

define faster... straightline speed and acceleration, or quicker round a track? straightline performance, both bikes would be about on par. HOWEVER. if you are a big fat ass, the pitbike with a 175 motor will probably outrun the KX, as a 65cc mxer is not reknowned for making huge amounts of...

For Those about to Rock... buying OKO Flatslides..

exactly... looking good is half the battle won... They arent terrible brakes, but you wont be doing one finger nose wheelies with them, put it that way... I still reckon change the front master cylinder over, give the system a good bleed with some decent brake fluid right from the start, and...

jesus christ, does anyone in this thread actually know what they're talking about???? i think i became stupider, and forgot some stuff i once knew just by reading it.... Where are my pokemons...

    sprockets

...and running your chain too tight will severely load up the countershaft sprocket, and counter shaft itself... put enough strain on it, somethings gotta give... most of the time the chain will die first, but in some cases, it can crack cases, kill countershaft bearings, crack countershafts...

For Those about to Rock... buying OKO Flatslides..

hmm, cant comment on how they compare to stock fast ace fronts, but i wasnt overly impressed with mine... However, i reckon if you changed the front master cylinder over, from the one that comes stock with them, the braking power would improve... the back isnt too bad, nice and progressive, but...

    pitsterpro lxr?

bout the only snag you'll come up against will be the pipe... i cant see a pipe designed for a 10'' thumpy frame fitting on something the size of an LXR frame... i'd be hitting DHZ up for a pipe to suit as well.... Make sure your sprocket sizes and chain all match as well...

    DHZ 160r Outlaw

fair enough. might also have been effected by the 250's ability to breathe a little harder than a smaller engine, when fed a bigger carby....
