Got a mini dirt bike i have replaced with bare engine which only had to fit carb flywheel and clutch, i havr a spark and the carbs getting fuel but the bike wont fire all i get sometimes is the exhaust back firing but thats it, any ideas jets etc are all clean on carb

still not working, when the top of the cable the wee fat bit touches the metal it starts revving high even when no in its place

I did buy brand new cable they obviously give me wrong one, il try what you said thanks for all you help

Also when i put touch the cable on the metal bit without it being it place it causes it to rev high and trys to go on its own

Ok mine is like that but i think my spring is in wrong, could this be causing it? When i put my throttle cable into its place it pulls the cable a tiny bit out and this is causing it to go on its own also

ok after working at this all day its the throttle cable, i took the top of the thumb throttle of and it seems to be that when the cable is touching the metal bit inside the thumb throttle its making it rev very high, anyone any ideas?

can anyone put up a picture of the way there spring is in thumg throttle on mini quad?

right when i leave the bit in the top of the carby and disconnect the brake from the thumb throttle is sits fine, any ideas anyone?

when i take out the top of the carb from the carb and start it it takes of straight away

ok went and bought new gasket and exhust and its still doing it

so you think its an exhaust gasket i need?

when im starting it now its getting hard to cut it out lol

also its a new engine so i wouldnt need a full gasket kit

yes thats what i mean lol, well it wouldnt cut out there even when i put choke up exhaust was backfiring, any ideas im lost with what next

sealant seems to be working ok but as i say as soon as choke is put down it goes on its own

the gasket is wrecked, so will sealant not work for this then? its just when i put the choke down it trys to go of more faster on its own when choke it up it will sit idle

the canister is 50 litres and i put one wee bottle of 2 stroke in thats 100ml

50 to 1, i think the sealant was wrecked i have bought gasket sealant so hoping this sorts it

ok oil is leaking from the exhaust when it connects to the cylicdener head, could the be my problem if so how do i fix it?

yes the slide slid in when i put it in also i have now tighted the cable fully up, when the choke is open it sits idle sort of on its own but when i put the choke down it goes on its own
