Sup, have the opportunity to buy a 3 speed semi-auto '04 klx110 from an acquaintance. Are these bikes easy to modify and is a 4 speed manual clutch conversion easy enough to get parts for an carry out? Or am I better off saving up for a 110L?

Cheers.

there are heaps of manuals out there. is the conversion easy? depends how good you are with spanners. I pick up a klx this weekend and will be splitting the cases pretty soon as i reckon the 4speed and the output shaft upgrades are a must with a bore kit. there arent as many suspension mods available for the 110L yet as there is for the standard height.

So have come to an agreed price which seems too good to pass up. Called my local pity shop about a manual conversion and the guys like it would be easier to install a Lifan. No thanks.

If someone could post a list of what parts are needed that would be great. Also approx how much they should set me back and total hours of labor for someone that knows what their doing.

Mate I will be honest here. If you do not know what you are doing do not even give it a attempt.
You do not need many parts really all you need is a 4 speed drum and a gasket kit. But there are other upgrades that may as well be done while you have got the case split.

Get a manual I got mine for about 50 bucks delivered and it has all the info one would need.

I have my 4 speed drum ready to go in but I just need to find the time.

Hope this helps
