just rebuilt my 125cc ducar motor got halfway through putting the whole thing back together and i realised it was making quite a loud ticking noise with every turn of the crank, i just replaced the fork selector because the previous one was bent, have i done something wrong? any help would be much appreciated

your going to have to be a lot more descriptive mate..

ticking can be from several things..

valves hitting piston
cam chain noise from having too much slack in it
something rubbing somewhere
etc etc etc

best thing to do is try and locate if its top end or bottom end..
put the engine/cam on tdc and pop the cam gear off and roll the engine over to see if the noise is still there.
if it is then try and locate the area.

its coming from the gearbox ive only half put the motor back together so its not top end.
i may have to split the crank case again and have a look to see if ive missed anything

ive checked over a few things and when you turn the drive shaft it makes a click everytime it moves, the gears are engaged but i dont know what else to do, is this normal?
