There are better bikes available on eBay, do a bit more research and also if you look in the bike reviews and tech section on here you should be able to find some info, opinions and feedback on eBay/Chinese bikes

Welcome to MR

Ok so what style of riding will you be doing?

Bigfoots are better for riding in rougher terrain.
The bigfoot will also be more stable at speed, because they have a longer wheel base and bigger wheels.

I have a Pitpro XR150 and it flies. It lifts in 2nd and sometimes 3rd.

I reckon that a 125 would be ok if you not trying to go heaps fast. Like if you want it for another fun opion when you go away camping, it would be great.

If you want it for bigger jumps i wouldn't recomend pitpro, but smaller jumps are ok. The suspension on the Pitpro are pretty standard and it doesnt take much for the seals to go.

I would reckomend getting a 140 or 150 if you could because its a way bigger power difference, even if that means getting a second hand bike.

Now ive heard of people that reckon that Pitpros are absolute rubbish, but this is not always the case. I bought my bike second hand and i look after it extremely well. I get first kick most of the time.

-Clean and oil the air-filter after every ride
-wash reguarly
-Change oil
-General looking after it and not thrashing it.

Do these things and the bike will love you for it. You give a lttle you get a little.

Hope this helps your decision. :)

EDIT: DHZ are also good aswell.

umm jono, small wheels feel better jumping... shouldn't go giving bad advice :p
but spend what you can, the infos not going to be handed to you but the best deals on ebay are atomiks because you basically just pay for then engine and get the rest for free. these are basically the same as pitpros, DHZ are then next step up from here.
one sec and ill get get some more info on what i wrote in another threat exactly the same.

EDIT: ok here it is:
lol noobs that post pointless stuff like that and probably dont even have a bike /\/\ :p
but yea you say you raced do you still have the knowledge of all maintenance? have you considered running costs and basic up grades to get it going like protaper barrs, these are what most people run just so that if you lay the bike over then you wont bend the bars straight away and the day be over, these are only $79 from the site sponsor DHZ, you should also consider a unifilter air filter to replace the shitty china ones because they dont really wont and will just destroy your engine... (you will need to find one the right diameter for the carbie on your chosen bike) and then you should know the rest of the running costs right?
some of the following links may help:

and now for choosing a bike
the Atomik's can be great bikes for there price after being set up right, i have a Pit-Pro which are meant to be of similar quality and mine runs great after i set it up right, there are also a huge amount of upgrades for these if he needs something a little more before racing but if he does catch on to your bug and starts jumping and riding too hard he might just do something and that could be it for the bike or even hurt him...
then theres DHZ bikes and there just that little bit of a step up with a bit better everything allround at a little bit more, also the after sale help is AMAZING ken from DHZ is awesome with helping you out and will give you all the help and if anythings wrong from when it comes from him, this is where atomik tend to fail as once you buy from then they'll never get back to you... if you search this you'll find that there have been some pretty disappointing acts by them...
DHZ are also improving all the time, they use to have a fork problem witch is said to be all fixed up now.
then theres revMX ttr155, these are the new kids on the block but are huge and have really made there make coming with heaps of up market parts and only costing $1999, these are some of the higher end ttr style bikes with the powerfull 155 motor and up market DNM suspension and it come with a great spares kit with both a D.I.D chain, unifilter air filter and more
heres some more info about these:

My bad i was meant to say they are only better for rougher terrain. :)

Use the search function and search "miniblitz" and there's a great review by thump 140 (r.I.p) that should help. Yer I'm in two minds too, thinkin of either the bigfoot miniblitz or regular pit bike.

when you say regular pitbike, are you referring to just the wheel size orr what because there are alot of "regular" pitbikes out there... i believe my post covers a lot about the low to mid-high range pitbikes... take a look....

cheers for all the replys, i was mainly looking at these as they are around the price im looking at spending, i dont want to spend too much as i probably wont ride it that often as i have my rmz. i would be riding mostly on soft to medium terrain and will probably do small jumps on it aswell. the 150cc atomik nitrous is another bike im looking at. but i still havent decided on which to get.

yes the 150-160 atomik nitrous's are the best deals out there and all your paying for is the engine, you get the bike for free pretty much, if you do look after the bike properly it will last you along time and do what you want it to.
good luck with choosing a bike.
