Hi

I am new here, first got my 49cc i love it now thinking of getting 125cc as i am hook.

a friend of mine got a bike like this : eBay Australia: '07 125cc PIT DIRT BIKE MOTOR TRAIL BIKES THUMPSTAR OX3 (item 140130677003, end time 22-Jun-07 20:15:00 AEST)

Could i please give some feed back about this bike ?
Are they any good?
MY friend bid ebay auction for 480$ this is ok value to expensive?

i was thinking of getting this bike but google and found it made in china and power and torque was pretty crap. Your though?

They are both honestly *****, you'll find yourself paying more for repairs than the bike itself. The first one you put up, has a ducar engine.. Not top of the range but fairly decent. The Sprocket is huge, your probably going to have a good top end but **** take off.. , Look lets end it at that for the first bike.. I'd label it ****.

The Second Bike is just ******* hilarious, Daniel40 has had one of these "MXB" Bikes and it has caused him nothing but problems. For that we'll leave it with, Dont buy any dirtbikes from "Oz-Auction".

What most people would recommend is a Motovert, Thumpstar, MSO, Atomik, Pitpro.. Look around the Miniriders forums.. There are LOADS of threads on which bike to buy.. Look through threads and see what all members opinions are on bikes, read some of the reviews in the "Reviews" section.. There is just loads of stuff you can do to ensure, you get a safe and reliable bike that wont fall apart in 4th gear.

There is a little Search option on the right side of your screen, you can search for different kinds of threads which will help you.

Riding these dirtbikes is illegal.. because they arent aloud to be road registered, thus meaning you dont have a license.. You are aloud however to get rec registration, which permits you to ride in the bush.
Many people have been busted riding these bikes around the streets and they come with a hefty fine! I even got busted, but luckily got off on a warning by playing dumb, HOWEVER.. I am not suggesting that you go ride around the streets and when you get busted play dumb.. Don't ride around the streets at all.. They're are dirtbike tracks and other events which you can go to and ride around LEGALLY.

If and when you do a get a bike, read lots of "How To" guides.. Read up on what to do with your bike when you first get it such as Locktite bolts, change the oil, tighten everything.. etc
