Gday guys.

So this is what im looking at building at the moment.
Here is a rough design(please excuse my pathetic Sketchup skills)
Untitled_zpsc1ba3669.jpg

so im looking at using a design like the Oset 20in spider.

Il most likely use 1.5cmX1.5cm steel square tubing so the frame will be stong but on the heavy side.

The motor il be using will be a 36v 800w electric scooter motor.

Forks im looking at a set of Marzocchi bombers as i already have a spare set from when Mongoose replaced the forks on my bike.
Rear shock im unsure of at the moment maybe a cheap Dh shock or a Pit bike shock.

Im really into trials riding at the moment although my Dh bike really isnt the best haha.
Also want something to ride around thats legal.

So let me know what you think and if its possible.
Cheers Zach.
If this doesnt work out im going to convert a pit bike to electric.

to keep it legal it needs 2 forms of power,

pedals/chain etc, with the electric motor

and also the motor needs to be under 200 watt.

Well there goes that idea. Cheers for that

yeah but how much riding do you actually do on the roads ?

it also needs to do a top speed of under 25kph and not get the *****es..
the laws ****.

I wouldn't be riding on the roads just around my house and the place where i ride. Im more looking into converting a pit bike now as its much easier and will be a hell of a lot nicer to ride.
after seeing a crf 50 converted to electric and how much fun i had mucking around on my 50 when i had it i will mostlikely go down that path.

My mate got a 2nd hand Razor electric MX bike for his son, like a crf50 with a 350w(i think) motor, great bit of fun(but i would destroy it pretty quickly), picked it up for like $120 on ebay

Yea i have looked at those, unfortunatly ithey dont have a proportional throttle. Nor do they have suspension for someone my size. I have been looking converting something like a pit pro 50cc as it has a mono shock not the Astyle.
