Hey guys
My atomik blitz 250 is having problems starting
i have been able to clutch start it and it runs rough
however i am unable to get it to electric start
it has charge, spark, and the starter relay works so im stumped
also on the outside (right side of bike) of the carby there appears to be an automatic choke or something....?
i bought a new pz30 carby and went to replace it and it doesnt have it again im stumped
any help would be appreciated

You might want to start off by checking the valve clearance's
When you check them make sure the engine is at tdc on the compression stroke

What have you got the mixture screw adjusted to atm, eg how many turn's out ?

pffft, electric start...

check valve clearances and timing.

pop off the carb. squirt a few cc of fuel down the intake. see if it starts like that with the electric.

it doesnt have any silly safety interlocks, ie, the clutch needs to be pulled in when starting?

thats narrowed it down to the carb or the previously unadjusted valves.

if not, pop off the exhaust and try again. if it starts now, its exhaust blockage. unlikely.

while the carbs off, measure it...bore...is it flange or spigot mount? examine suitable replacement, if its a good fit, stick it on...who needs auto chokes?

changing the plug to an ngk can be of some advantage.
