is this type of metal filter better than the normal foam sponge type filters?

and as for size you would be better taking yr old filter with you so they can measure it

If the ID (inner diameter) is 19mm. Thats what you need a 19mm. I just took my carbi in and got them to measure it. Took them three goes to get the right airfillter but I got it.

nah mate that's the manifold, intake is usually much bigger.
you measure the outer diameter of the intake side, my 26mm carby takes a 48mm filter
