Hi guys, so i got my custom graphics from justin a month ago and finally got around to putting them on last saturday, and feeling energetic i went ahead and installed my stage 3 cam from Akunar with HD valve springs and also changed the rockers and valve stem seals and a fresh head gasket. Finished up bout an hour and a half later, gave it a start and was runnin rough due to a tight exhaust valve, re-adjusted and another start and came to a nice lumpy idle straight up, quick tune on the oko and it was sweet.

Next day went for a ride and straight up the mid to topend performance was a huge improvement, so good actually that i thought i had a rear flat tyre but it was just the difference in performance and the bike sliding on the power. I did however lose a little bottom end which would require a quick clutching to get it cranking but not needed all the time, maybe the stage 2 would of been enough, but im now in love with the stage 3.

I highly recommend Akunar cams and at $80 Australian i got my cam and HD springs and that also included postage from thailand. Whenever i have emailed Ranuka at Akunar the response has been informative and prompt.

All up the gains associated with this cam alone for dirt riding is unbelievable, and had me screaming in my helmet. For a standard bore and head the engine is awesome and didnt know what i was missing out on, cant wait till i can afford a v2, well one day im hoping.:beerchug:

Great post mate. Im glad it all worked out for ya and its flying.
If that makes you scream in ya helmet wait and see what a v2 does to ya pants.lol

Good stuff Rotn, maybe this shoudl be a writeup for next months tech article in the blog??? Just a thought.

I think the tech article should be about a product the site sponsors sell.
Does not stop mick doing a tech article on it though. I would say a few people would be interested in the parts brought and the process in fitting them

Hey Mick I found the same with my a2 cam awesome!! Bang for buck you can't go wrong!
