This should become a good thread.. just had my first crash.. rolled it and totaled..

That happend tonight.
no insurance was getting it sorted...... TONIGHT. ****
only down 1.5k so isnt too bad.
had a mate in the car... dont think i will for a long time again.
wasnt even hooning. me and my mate are perfectly fine, minus a couple of scratches from getting out crawling on broken glass..

STIUATION: coming home from a nice day of driving around the mountain side, on the way home we decided to drive down the dirt way, cruzing along maybe sliding in some sections..
not sliding and not trying to slide.. ended up sideways and while countersteering.. was too far gone hit left embankment and car rolled.. no front impact (would have prefered it was doing about 55 but atleast 40 when impact) instead the car decided to roll (embankment was on a very steep but probably perfect angle..
Next thing i know im upside down in my car... so i crawled out and so did my mate..

some locals tried to help put the cars on its wheels to avoid towing *still drivable* but needed towing just around the corner.. $280 or something in the end the towy gave me a lift home and my mate..
i wish it didnt happen though was having a really good night
airbags did not go off as because the embankment being a bit of a jump

that did't take you long Zak,
at least you and your mate got out of it ok, no major injuries etc.
hopefully you have learnt a lesson from the accident too.

Glad to hear you and your mate are alright dude!

I'm not sure I understand this next statement though?

Tell us the truth. You and your mate thought you were Ken Block and his co-pilot! :)

Sucks about your car though. O'well live and learn dude. Some times you get lucky sometimes you don't. My second car was a mild 308 Vb Sle and being 18 I had plenty of those - Don't do that again moments! :)

Nah was sliding down for some fun most of the way (however then though stuff it i just want to get home so took it easy coming down)
done plenty of sliding on tarmac and have been down the gravel just cruzing and had one oops moment when the car slid towards the embankment no matter what i did to the wheel but i just recovered it.. just
same thing damn rolled my car :p my fault all driver error

Oh well, at least you walked away mate, thats the main thing. Live n Learn i think is what they say :) AKA To be old and wise, you must first be young and stupid ;) To add to this, the only accident i have had is when i put my towbar thruogh the grill of a commodore at a maccas drive through. Mind you at 5 or 6 dad used to sit me on his lap to drive/steer the car to get firewood. From the age of around 9-10 i was driving. Farm life :)
