he make the air in a room get cold
nar ,cool job are you good a math ,English ,science those will need to be good marks as a aircon mechanic ,they need to know a shit load includeing the sparky side of things so a double trade sort of
think its 5 or 6 yr app also not sure tho
i had a friend who was 1 few yrs ago aint seen him in a while ,but he was a only a young fella and worked up in darwin fixing aircons and drink machines for macca's and the pubs and shit
he was oncall 24 hrs a day but was also paid 43 buck an hr 24 hrs aday
some days he worked heaps and most days he didnt lol
and made a fair few dolloars along the way

i just sat a week at trade school learning about car aircon,
got my license but i wont be doing anything with aircon in fear of getting in a load of trouble haha
but normal aircon is a whole different ball game

being a "fridgie" myself i have a bit of knowledge in this field. It is a 4 year apprenticeship, but the last year is on the job training.
You service, intall and design a wide variety of systems including coolrooms, residental heating and cooling, commerical stuff.
As mentioned you need maths, science and english. Its hard work, but the rewards are great in terms of money and side jobs.
