Hello everyone I am new to miniriders I recently got a used Apollo 250 2014 had a bad sprag clutch and kickstart gear I replaced the sprag clutch and the reduction gear but not the kickstart gear started right up but the starter is being spun by the gears causing it to shock me when I try to pull ground wire I know it's bad for the starter to spin that fast I could tell it was monkeyed with be for me pls help thanks in advance

Obviously the sprag clutch is either not releasing(siezed or sticking) or perhaps its in the wrong way(ie releases in the opposite direction). Does the starter spin the motor when it has power? If so your sprag clutch/one way bearing is most likely stuck, if not its releasing the wrong way. Most of the elec starts i have played with have a starter with a sprocket driving a chain that drives a sprocket on the one way bearing bolted to the flywheel, if it were me I'd just remove the chain (i hate chinese electric start set ups, they always fail) and just kick start it if thats an option for you
