I bought this bike new from Atomik in Melb and after putting it together and testing it out I found that the brake pads only make about 60% contact with the rotor making the front shake when appling the brakes.

Bought the bike back and they really didn't think it was an issue as they reckon that this was the first complaint..... yeah yeah. Anyway I looked at another bike similar to mine and noticed that the fork brake holes were in a different location and asked the mechanic to swap the forks over, they went with the idea and this had significantly improved the pad to rotor contact to about 85% but still not perfect.

I know this is a known issue for this model and Atomik are in no possition to rectify this as they do not have a solution and doubt that they ever will.

What I'd like to find out is if anyone has been able to fit a larger size rotor if so what brand was used.

look in the tutorial section, there's a thread called "how to get the most out of your brakes" it explains how to size up your pads and figure out what size disk would fit best.

I was after a rotor that would suit the bike. Thanks for the info on the tutorial.
