hey guys,
ive just recived an atomik blitz 08 250cc for my birthday.. i am wrapped with it bar a few small teething problems.

1) it seems to run rough and backfire alot and loses power at the same time. could this be due to regular fuel or overfueling. i read they have a 132 jet and should be changed down to a 100 jet?????

2) the engine was advertised as being a loncin but came in the box with a mikilon. ive found mikilon make the loncin engine. ( a note for those out there wondering )

3) would it improve the temp on the bike if i installed thermo fans on the radiators as they seem to run hot. ive installed the correct fluids..???

4) the exhust seems to come loose alot.. any ideas on how to correct it??

thanks for any suggestions..

otomik seem to do this allot I dunno about the blitz but there's another bike advertised as having a lifan engine but some lucky people get a yx

the first thing you need to do to any china bike is locktight every bolt on it with medium strength locktite, also make sure you put in some good non synthetic oil asap

guess noone else is having problems with a backfiring bike, amazing.

have you changed the plug? go for a NGK DR8EA could help in some way, otherwise could be a carby adjustment. I kno my atomik has quite a large throat on the exhaust, in comparison to my tomahawk and it does backfifre a lot more and have a popping noise when i back off the throttle

hey guys. here is some info on the cause of my problem.

we took out the carby as it seemed to be pumping in too much fuel. it had a 105 jet i changed that to a 100 jet and it ran alot smoother but still with the backfire problem. we went over the wiring system trying to see if there was any dramas and what do you know. the plug on the end of the coil was loose as all hell. i crimped the wire up tight and all dramas have now gone away. bike is running like a dream, so if anyone is having similar problems with backfiring,, check the coil before you go stripping down the motor as i did. might save you alot of time and anger.. such a simple fix for such a major problem.. cheers to all for the help with ideas..
