hey everyone, i got myself a free 250 pit bike, but its got a catch its been in the weather behind some old guys shed since his son got sick of it everything was corroded but it still turned over i have pulled the carby apart and put it back tegether it has a couple nicked seals but its ok, and it was full of jelly stale fuel so it got a good clean, i rewired it to run without a battery or starter motor thanks to a thread on this site some where and now have spark i just need to know what may cause the over flow to leak when its screws done up tight? and also what a good sealant would be inplace of the small peices of seal that are missing? thanks in advance

Open up your carb. Either your float valve is stuck open (not shutting off fuel), is missing (so unable to shut off fuel) or the actual float has a hole in it so its full of fuel and doesnt float.
