Hi Guys,

I have just taken the "fully adjustable" forks (my arse) off the bike down to a local repairer for some stronger springs and heavier oil only to pick up the phone to a bit of laughter. The mechanic after he settles down tells me that he has bigger springs in the pen on his desk than what's in the forks and there is no oil in them at all. I asked him if they leaked and he says that it doesn't matter, there never has been oil in them only grease. WTF! What kind of system is this? Because the forks are tapered, does anyone know if there are another brand out there that will fit this or am I in for a front end rebuild? MMMMmmmm Atomik. Good Bike! The thing is outside the shocking front end on these they actually get havr the grunt to be alot of fun. Get your shit together Atomik and get some real forks hey.

The mech just rang back. Sorry guys for the misleading info. There is iol in there in a small pocket in the middle but he said he's never seen anything like it. He's putting spacers in, heavier springs, thicker oil and better seals. I'll post to let you know how it goes.

My ProX250 Oct-07 has air nipples under the rubber caps on the bottom of the forks, i have put 200mls of synthetic tranny fluid(which is equals about 15-20weight fork oil) in each fork, spacers in the top and about 35# pounds of air in, they dont bottom out now because the dampening is slow, not the right fix but much better than before

I did it myself, and the oil and spacers came from work, cost me nothing

You could do it yourself for the price of oil $10-$15 litre, washers as spacers $2-$3 worth, and your time
