backwards gearbox

hey guys its been bothering me for ages now......i have a weird problem with my gearbox shift pattern being N1234 down not up.

basically its like the gears are backwards....feels pretty weird when i wanna slow down using gears and have to change the shifter up instead of down

just curious on options for fixing this.......what will new gears set me back if i change them myself??? if i got a shop to do it for, or would i just be better off buying a new motor?? (seen lifan motors on ebay for $220)

You would be better of getting a new engine mate, then you will have spare piston and rings carby etc!

You can get a gearbox for <$100 off ebay if you are confident fitting it yourself. If not, you're best off buying a complete new engine and selling your current one

It may be possible to change the direction the shifting works without replacing the entire box, I'll leave that answer to one of the more technical guys on here...

You could just leave it as is and pretend you are on a GP bike
