Bearing Race Cracked, HeadStem

hey guys i landed pretty hard on my Crf 50 and my headset became loose..So i took everything off and found out there was a bit chipped out of the baring bed... as the pic follow shows.... is there any way to fix it.. or i need a new crf fame...if so Anyone selling one or know how much they are from honda... thanks in advance guys.

im pretty shore they are just tightly sitting in there, Ask a honda shop or somthing becuase they would no...

it should be a bearing insert???

does it look like it should slide out,

thats how most bikes are, but yours i not sure.

yeh surly the bearing just sits in that grove and then u bolt the shocks on ??

dude you can belt that cup out and press a new onre in as long as it's a normal size any bearing shop will have em
they wont take your whole life savings like honda
i think the size is a 32005x or somthing like that my mates were that size
i even got ones with built on rubber seals on them
they a bit dearer though
need more info let us know

on second looks it might be a speaial bearing rip it out and see if it's got any numbers on it

Yeah dude - it's just an insert - you knock it out from the inside using a long screw driver or metal rod and hammer . It's a good idea to fit a top quality tapered roller bearing and seal set while you're at it ...........like these ! You can buy el cheapo chinese one's off ebay OZ but the US seller has far superior bearings .

The bearing #'s are :

Top .... 22.5H - 41H (22.5 I/D x 41 O/D)

Bottom .... 24H - 41H (24 I/D x 41 O/D)

yeah i have to do the taper roller bearing conversion to mine soon.. before that happens

If its truly a crf50 frame then the bearing shop won't help you. Your need the aftermarket jobbies alright. Can get them from just about any fiddy store that supplies Honda aftermarket parts.

anyway that little lip that the barings sit on.. you can bash it out? and what.. they weld a new one in there or something...

no its just a press fit in there. You just use a pipe or socket of the same diameter as the bearing race to knock the new one in.
