Hey all i have a motovert pro 125 07 and on the weekend i was riding a trail and some stupid person has decided to leave a huge rock on a blind corner which i crashed into resuling in a badly bent front rim and me receiving a nasty cut leg that got 18 stitches a chiped shin bone some scraps and bruises and cruches for two weeks and bruised ego lol. :(
Any ways my Q is wat are some good red anadized rims 14 front and 12 rear and the correct way to respoke them.
i will post some pics soon of my injuries and the damaged bike but be worned they will make ur stmick turn lol.

if anyone who rides moto cant look at injurys they shouldnt ride lol. As for the rims i couldnt but spoking is just a matter of coppying the pattern, taking your time to get it running true and not over tightening the spokes

People who do that to trails are the people that have no life. Hope ya get better

Find the rims you want and pay someone to do it for you. I hade a go at respoking the front rim on my provert on the weekend, a lot harder than it looks 3 different spoke lengths on the rim. Im going to get it done at a bike shop this week now.

umm id say get some SM Pros =) they are the fukin shizz =D
and get a couple of sets of HD spoke kits =)

cough out the money for the good shit and youll notice the differnce =)
i havent had to tighten i spoke once with my new shit (touch wood) and im loving it!!
it will set you back abit but do it! and for all the hassle get a bike shop to spoke your wheels up =) then you know there done right and at the right tension =)

Got my front rim back from the local bike shop yesterday, $150 to lace up the spokes, 2hrs of labour. For that sort of money i could've bought a set complete wheels for abit more from ebay.

yeh but for $150 bucks off ebay or gunna have exactlly the same probblem in a month or two...

i think i got my labour abit cheeper than that but..
this is to everyone not just you =P

dont be cheep, cough out the cash i know its abit extra i got rims, HD spokes and labour and i payed about $500 but thats like top quality shit.. i have touched a spoke yet (touch wood) and im getting every bit of quality for my money..

ebay isnt going to do you any good, same problem in the first place... spend abit extra ;) =)

so the high quality gear that cost all that is gonna jump him over the rock??
most of the gear on the bikes are Chinese, regardless of if you pay $200 or $500
DHZ have some nice billet hubs with stainless spokes and alloy rims, they look the part and if you got someone that knew what they were doing to retention the spokes when you first got it then you shouldn't really have any troubles

they are the wheels ive been looking at, mate got a set a month ago. ill see if they hold up to his ridin if so im going to get a set. he has smashed 2 hubs on his rear wheel and he reckons these wheels look solid and will hold up to his punshment.

don't forget to retention the spokes tho, no matter how good the quality of gear is if the spokes are adjusted poorly it will not last
