totally agree, but then again i have come across so much dodgy crap on old cars and bikes over the years, some people should never be allowed near a angle grinder, stick welder, pop riveter, etc. My mate bought a chopped triumph a few years back, it looked like it was solid as all **** but on a ride a few weeks after he got it the bike started literally raking out as he rode, ****ty welds with no penetration ground right down, lots of bog, downtubes cut and welded together end on end with no plugs and porous welds. This was a bike we had known for years and had been ridden hard, still astounds me when i think of how badly it could of ended. We had to cut off the headstem and rebuild it with new downtubes and backbone, the guy he got it from still claimed it was safe and a job well done and pretty much told us to **** off. Think he got the idea how unsafe rusty twisted metal is when it came through his lounge room window soon after
