Hey fellas.. just wondering what class could i enter a kx 125 85 model into? im just in it for fun as every one is.. i need to know before i pull the trigger on buying a bike

Only some vintage clubs have added pre 85 class. Check ur closest vmx club

Ill have a look around the oz vmx forums, there sites are so hard to navigate

Talk to me next time at the track I will introduce you to a guy that races in vmx, later models than vcm, for sure is a pre 85 class. I would love to race that class

VMX is also pre disc brakes from what i remember

There is a class called 'Evolution Class' it used to be the most modern of the vintage classes.
3 golden rules of 'Evo Class'
1, drum brakes
2, air cooled
3, no linkage rear shocks

But some clubs have adopted newer bikes and added more classes.
SOME clubs are run by old pains in the a... and refuse to modernize

Yeh viper stood for VIctorian Pre Eighties Register but now they're pre 90's, spose VIPNR doesn't sound as cool. Forgot to mention about vinduro events also (vintage enduro), thinking about dusting off the ol 79 it175 and entering in the odd one or two soon

Check with your local club mate. You might be lucky. Some clubs allow bikes up to 1990
