I have a CT-110 motor laying in the shed not doing anything. Do the Lifan/Ducar heads fit on these?

Also what is to stop me ditching the automatic clutch in it. what clutches/baskets would fit it?

( I would mod the side case to fit clutch lever )

they should do. unless the stud pattern is different. someone correct me if im wrong.

Heads

Cool. Anyone know what heads would fit on it then. Lifan 140 , 150 , 160?

It would be cool if I could work this out.

No problems with the ADR or registration then.

Cheaper than boring it out maybe.

yeah not sure do you have any of those heads on ya?? im not sure itll be better than boring it out though. only thing is it may be to much for the bottom end and gears thats what ive been told

How tough is the bottom end

I wonder about how solid they are to.

Seems very heavy and over engineered for something that only puts out 110cc.

But so long as a lifan head and cylinder will actually fit I figure it is worth a try.

None of the heads you mentioned will fit the Postie110. Don't worry about the gearbox etc letting go. I used to modify the ATC90's out to 320cc using XL175 top ends with no bottom end problems.

tinkering

Ok I have come up with a bit of a plan.

I measured the studs and it seems to me like the 125cc head/cylinder on the Lifan should fit the CT-110 block.

--- but ---

This afternoon I took the 125 top plate off and they are different. I stand corrected.

Bugger.

So I am going to take the 125cc head of the Lifan and see if it does.

If it does then I will get one of those 125 big bore kits to take it up to 150.

If it doesn't fit I will probably get the 125 kits anyway and just put it on the Lifan.

I have access to a machine shop so I might be able to make up a small adapter block to just move the studs on the CT-110. Bit of messing around with the oil holes. That would lift the stroke. But maybe that isn't such a bad thing.....

yeah it would youd need a longer crank then. cause other wise you wont get the compression you need to keep it going
