Howdy gang,
Im trying to buy a PitPro (narrowed it down between that and the Atomik based on threads I raed on this forum funnily enough)....discuss the4 merits in me chosing the PitPro if you so desrire.

Im actually here though to ask about ride height.
My borther bought one of these (125cc) PitPros near Xmas and the spec (via eBay) on his model states its height at 900mm, wheras the only 125 for sale on the official pitpro site states a hieght of 750mm.

Can someone please firstly confirm or deny wether they are all the same hieght and Im simply the vitim of misleading typing errors, or whether there is infact a difference. Tyhe mainn raeson I ask is Id love to have the same bike as my Bro, (if nothing else it will provide him no excuse when he loses on the track) but Ive already noticed various other differences between his and the one Im seing advertised on eBay. (Mine) has a normal (Pro Link chrome) swing arm whereas (his) has a frame like contraption. (Mine) nhad usd forks wheras his are conventional. Both claim to be 2007 model 125 Pit Pros.

Thanks in advance if anyone's forthcoming with tonnes of advice and points out that they are all infact very similar and instaed of trying to compare one PitPro 125 to another, I should simply pick the one with the nicest colours due to the differences being negligeble. Having said that, I'd hate to get one where the ride height differed a massive 150mm.

Thanks again!!!!
...and sorry for the uncontrollable rant (Im sure there are comparisons Ive missed as well. HEEEELP!!

Rich:) .

mate the ride height is always 750mm on the pitpros its just a typing error.
if you have the extra coin try and buy a 138cc pitpro as they have slightly better shock, are oil cooled and have a better frame from memory

theres heaps of forums already on this topic so if you search through them im sure you can find som more info.

same frame just diff shock
the pitpro is just a good qaulity bike compared to atomik and others
go the 138cc if u can afford the extra but ur really better off buyingg the 125 RR version and then donking a 140cc outlaw in as there pretty damn cheap

id be going the pitpro

cheers
dave

Thanks

Thanks guys.
Funny, as my next question was gunna be the comparison between the 'Outlaw 125' and the 'RR' 125 (both by PitPro).
It would seem that you're leaing me towad the RR, and given they both measure in with same 750 ride height, I think I'll take ya advise (unless of course there's more I should know).
Thanks again!!

i would go the outlaw for the better looking frame and better rear shock (same shock as the 138's). also a lot more anodised bits on the outlaw, looks way better IMO.

i just got my outlaw for 690 + shipping and its going to arive between 11 and 2 today :) they usually go for about 730ish tho (plus shipping)

the RR goes for less usually tho, about 500-600 + shipping

i know which one i prefer :)

There is 3 types of 125cc Pitpros the Standard 125cc (which your brother probably has) and the 125cc RR which is the one you are looking at and the Outlaw. (I like the RR best)

Ha ha

Im in the UK (arriving back in Melbourne sometime next month and want the beast waiting for me when I get there). Its funny how I open the forum of a morning here and it seems that I've opened a firey discussion between the merits of the Outlaw and the RR, that's raged while I slept. Good stuff...nothing like some healthy debate eh!!?

I spent much of last night doing further research, and it would seem that my lil' Bro is the proud father of the PitPro 'Trail' version, which IMHO has a pretty naff looking rear assembly.

As for which I like better between the two pictures above: (thanks NinetySix) I'm very much favouring the RR. I'm a road racer, and for some reason the 'RR' looks heaps more ''racey'' and streamlined, whereas the 'Outlaw' appears to look more like a toy.
As I said...healthy debate...and each to their own.

Thanks again guys!! You've all been a great help!!

ps: I'm currently winning an auction on eBay, so stay away so my bid remains intact!! ;-) Ta.
;-);)

ive crashed my fair share of road bikes ;) only been riding dirt a month now, but i lurve the outlaw :)

Yeah i have the 125rr...go that for sure. The bike is almost the exact same accept for the look...so decide on that...i rather the rr looks.

going by the new sticky this has to be in classifieds

Hi guys,
Me again.
I won the auction ($580ish for the RR not inc transportation) but am now facing a problem.

I've lost the link to their full banking details (in order to transfer funds) and they wont return my emails with a telephone number so as I can pay em alternatively via Credit Card.

The mob are called 'onlinebikesandbits', and they seem to be the only sellers of PitPros on eBay.com.au.

Does anyone have their details?

Thanks

Thanks dude,

Anyone got an elusive phone number for 'em?

The ol' bank transfer gig failed on account of it being of the 'overseas' variety. I now need to settle the account via Credit Card and fear that if they dont reply to my emails (I've contacted via the 'contact seller' link on eBay) that I may run the risk of forfeiting the sale through no fault of my own.
Aint life grand how everything's so bleddin easy?!?!?!!?

Thanks again in advance. Do you guys ever sleep?

If anyone has a receipt from em, there may be a phone number on it, and I'd be eternally grateful should you be forthcoming.
