I just got my 2015 SSR SR110 and the kickstart lever wont complete its full range of movement, it stops at 9 o'clock. it will kick all the way down with the clutch lever pulled in but then there's no compression. The bike is definitely in neutral as i can roll it freely. Any ideas?

When it comes to a stop, can you slowly push it past that point, or will it not go any further no matter what?

Was thinking the same thing, doe's it stop when you get to tdc ?
If it does, and you can kick it over from just past there, then that's normal.

Take the plug out and try kicking it over, if it feels easier then as mentioned you're just feeling the compression of it getting to top dead centre. The proper starting procedure is to get it just past TDC release the kicker and then give it a full kick, not so important on smaller pit bike motors but on the bigger ones (125+), if you don't it can kick back and smash your cases. Its a new engine and will be a little tight. If taking the plug out doesn't seem to help either start investigating why it won't kick over or take it back to where you got it, even if its brand new there have been many cases of new motors with problems like cam chains 1 or 2 teeth out, etc.
