Hey all
One of my pit bikes' carb was leaking fuel all over the place. I dissembled the carb ( Kehin PZ20) and noticed the float bowl gasket was old and dry. I also noticed that fuel was coming out of the float bowl drain tube. Therefore, something is wrong with the float bowl valve needle assembly and the gasket needs to be replaced. While I am waiting for these parts to arrive, I installed another Carb from a different bike and swapped out the parts to make it fit. I even reused the default throttle cable.
Now is my issue: When it was all put back together, the bike is hard to idle ( very low). I have the idle scree all the way in. I adjusted the metal adjusting nut/tube on the cable to be all the way out. When it is in, there is sooo much play in the throttle that about half way through twisting the throttle the throttle finally feels tension and lifts the carb sleeve.
I have moved the needle clip down a few slots thinkng it might help, but it's not helping that much.
Do I have a cable that is too long??? I am not sure why it would longer because it was used with the stock carb. Help!!
Thanks
