trying to find a 22/24mm wide chain roller with a 10mm i/d bearing to suit motovert frame and i just cant find one.. any ideas fellas????

its the right i/d but its to wide for the shaft, i bought that one got it today went to fit it and i couldnt even see the threaded section of the post it sits on....

do you need the spring loaded one? there are 2 ones. the spring type, and the one thats fixed straight to the frame.
the one loco posted is for the fixed type, but you could modify it to fit a bracket/spring loaded type. is this the type your after?

all the ones on ebay like the pic you put up blender are to wide in i/d on the hole the slides onto the post on the frame. im having a real b*tch of a time finding something that will work

i have no idea to be honest its a non cradle braced frame, how do i find out what year it is? looking through that link i think its a 06 motovert but i really cant be sure as there are 3 bikes that look very similar to the one i got the frame from

the 3 bikes im thinking are similar to the donor bike i got the frame from all use the same roller system so thats fine but how the hell do i order the part i need. i cant work out how to do it

maybe can you get a ordinary chain roller and then order a bearing to your required size to fit?

if the bolt was longer on the tensioner, could you use that roller you have ?

if so,
just cut the little tack welds that are holding the bolt to the bracket, and use a longer bolt.

if i put a longer bolt in it the roller would sit to far out from the frame and push the chain away from the sprockets. how essential is it to run one of these? i no that they keep the tension on the chain to help prevent it running off the sprockets but is it likely to cause problems by not running one?

its an essential item. without it, your chain will "slap" the teeth of your sprockets and you will chip and loose teeth.and it also means you dont have to a longer chain, but that doesnt really matter anyway..
