Clutch adjusted but not releasing.

Hi Guys,
I have a 125 ducar motor on an atomik bike. The clutch won't release. Fitted new cable, I have adusted tha cable and the clutch arm at motor is moving fully under tension. Everything behind cover plate on rhs of motor looks great - no play etc, but clutch still won't release. Suspecting twisted or burred clutch shaft not allowing plates to separate.
Please help if possible
