Hey guyz i have bought a 1995 honda cr 125 and its a great bike. but when i have been riding for a couple of hours or so it bogs down and just dies. the spark plug is not fouled but it wont kick over again till i put a new plug in then its sweet as for another couple of hours then it dies again. It has had all new piston and rings in it. Can some one plz help me

just take it to a shop, my xr100 did that when i was 10.

f*% the shop! Go in and ask them for an iridium plug or preflably a fine tip ngk competition plug, thats all i use in my 125. Burns better and last longer.
The other thing to check is the jetting, what colour is the spark plug wen u pull it out? and if you clean it with some fuel and a little bit of fine sandpaper does it run again?

just a couple of suggestions, hope it helps
cheers

thnx mx mad i had been running just the normal plugs but then i used the finer tip it ran better and longer but the plug is fine it like kills it. But as soon as i put anew one in it runs fine for a couple of hours then dies out?????

yeh thats a weird one mate, maybe you got ignition problems, a weak coil or sumthin, not sure.

Anyone else got a suggestion???

p.s try another forum like ktmtalk or sumthin.

YES weak coil! the xr 100 did that, we never fixed it

the yamaha man said the older hondas th coils don't last as long and sometimes are faulty..
same thing with my friends 02 cr125

same with my 1990's xr100

it would go sometimes and then not others, run for a while then stop and not start the next, new plug it will go but then sometimes it doesn't..

cmon guys, bit ov help here for delza!!!

like i said, try another forum maybe but yeh sounds like igntion to me

Sounds like a case of too much oil in the fuel and she's running a bit rich, need to lean it off a bit.

yeh, thats a lead eichkay,
wat mixture are u running and wat type of oil?

hey mate ive got a 96 cr125 and had the same problem as you... it was a faulty coil, just told my dad and he went and got me one:D

told ya, dam it happens alot only bad thing about hondas tho they r mint, only seems to be the smaller bikez

Ive had same problem in the past.

Ive had same problem in the past. It will be one of two things, coil(burnout) or CDI box.

When a motor gets hot, the fuel burns less eficiently requiring a good hot spark to keep igniting fuel. A dodgy coils spark intensity will get weeker the longer its running.CDI box may also be faulty causing it to not get spark signal once its warmed up,also srewing up the timming.
