gday guys,
as some of you may know im selling my pitty to pay for a crf build. i will not be racing, just general riding. i love engine work so i want to do as much as possible and ive been looking at TB parts because of their price and availability. i am going to put a manual clutch kit on, a 4 speed tranny, 88cc top end with race head.

my questions are:
1. is it worth the extra $$$ to bring it upto 108cc? i see that most people just go with the 88cc, why is this?

2. if i do go with the 108cc build should i use the 26mm mikuni or an OKO carb?

3. what pipe would you guys recommend for use with either an 88cc or 108cc engine without spending too much money (looking to get a replica pipe preferably from within australia)

4. i know this question has been asked alot but what are your thoughts on IRK on 88cc-108cc engines? mind you its for general farm/backyard/jumping/trail riding, no racing.

any info you can give me would be much appreciated. cheers

108 for sure ! that would be beast and i dont think a 26mm carb would be a good option 24 or 22 maybe ?
i have a pro circuit copy on my bike and it seems to be ok but you do get what you pay for , but it will do the job .

the 108 stroker kit comes with a 26mm mikuni which is why i was asking opinions. chances are i will go with a 24mm oko

deffenetly worth the extra coin for the 108stroker, ive got a tb 108 kit in mine goes soo hard!! and reliable to.

yeh mine came with the vm26 but swaped it for a keihin pe24, went so much better, 26mm was just to big i reckon boged to much.

try get a good pipe second hand or somethin dont go china!! i picked up my procircut t-4 for 150buks works well on the 108 to. the fmf 4.1 pipe would have to be the best for 108cc+. t-4's work good on both 88rh and 108.
IRK=POS

also, to lift the front end up by 1" do i need to buy the extended fork legs aswell as the springs? or just the springs?
cheers

beautiful, does that mean i should be running an extended swingarm?

Sounds GOOD man!

Definitely go the 108 if you have the $$$ :D

If your going to run a 108cc you should DEFINITELY think about Forks and Swingarm!

I think for a 108 a +3" or +4" would go well.

COOL to hear your wanting to do a HONDA CRF50 Build!

You will Love it once its all put together ;)

yeah ive got a whole lot of stuff i need to sell to fund it but once i have i will definately be making a detailed build thread

what do you lads recommend in terms of forks?
my plan was always to upgrade to a better shock

at this point in time money is a bit tight. i need to sell my pitty and some RC gear to buy the bike and engine mods, then ill have to buy the swingarm and most likely an elka shock. what are the other options in forks?

buy my sano +4 swinga would be perfect for a 108 build;) ive also got a billetware cradle frame for sale.

i havnt got the cash together just yet as im still selling stuff but ill hit you up when i am in the market for a swingarm
