g'day just a quick question, im swaping out an old worn 110 cc honda and putting in a chinese 110cc engine, my question is does this need to go over the pits and get engineers report or is it as simple as going into the rta with new engine numbers and its a bit of paper work? cheers oh btw its currently rego'd till august 2010

SHOULD just be a matter of changing the numbers for rego purposes as you arnt increasing capacity. Your best bet would be to phone the NSW RTA and inquire as to what they do, then post back with your new found information.
Im 90% sure that it should just be a case of letting them know the new numbers thou. but im from Vic.. we got it good down here ;)

oh and welcome to mini Riders mate.. there is a few modifications required off memory to fit a china horizontal into the ct frame. there should be a thread around on it if you try searching for 'ct engine swap' or 'postie bike' or the similar.. pretty sure you will need to make an adaptor plate up to align one of the rear bolts...

keep us updated to the swap :)

thanks for the info, gonna give em a buzz, will post back tomorrow, thanks for the welcome too, i sorted out whats needed ie the foot peg mounts and other part where it can be bolted onto the frame and motor, have done it a few times stuck a gpx 160 with a 184 bore kit into a postie (farm bike) went nuts fast, considered doin it to a "under cover" postie bike for road runs, will see as i got 2 atm, lots of things floatin in mi mind atm but once i got this one sorted then will see :D cheers

u need a blue slip apparently. I went to the rta and told them my 50cc had blown up and i replaced it with another 50cc... they told me it will need a blue slip.... mehhh 4000K's later i havent been pulled over

mmmhmm exactly what i was told, im not gonna bother, if i get pulled over i will come up with some sort of excuse, hello 140cc with 150cc bore kit, keep stocker exhaust, ahh will be fun riding to uni now

Put the china in and engrave the oldnumber onto it:p couldwork...

i thought of that too haha, but then when u go get it rego'd how do u explain the misterious "clutch" that the semi auto engine had, i have gone china, keep the engine in there, and when its rego time, do a quick engine swap back to original, and bobs ur uncle good as new, i love the 140's, just great power for the engine size, cant beat the fact that u can wheel stand a postie, or taking off from the lights, and have some decent pull underneath ya, wipes smerks off peoples faces quick enough, my latest addition is a german army helmet style helmet, oh yehhhh, if only the girls at uni will stop laughing at me everytime i rock up then we could be in business, why cant girls be turned on by postie bikes, maybe if i lowered it, put 21's on it and make it go wooopacha every time i change gears then it could be a different level, hmmm note to self, add blow off valve to postie bike :D

hahaha thats bad ass pictures there mate, where do u find these things, lol that one with the white walls, now thats sicks, the drop bars one make it look like a cafe racer style bike, haha i dont think theres any more stunts i can pull of other then the wheelie through the whole strip of uni road and maybe the endo,

alright what do use reckon, bring to much (unwanted) attention to me now if i slapped an exhaust like this on the bad boy with a 140 bolted up the guts of her? kinda thinking now stock engine with new carby, and exhaust might even satify my needs
