hey guys, i am about 80% sure i am going to buy a dhz bike this weekend, i already know a few things i am buying on saturday when i get it, they are pro taper se bars, pro taper grips, irc tyres and thinking about a bigger rear sprocket. i cant really think of anything else. i will be getting a new rear shock next week for it. so money at this stage isnt really a problem just wanting to know what to do to it straight up with out going over board just enough to have fun and ride hard on basically. i guess i will also pick up a set of sano or RB pegs and mount next week to. any more suggestions are welcome thanks.

also forgot to add does anyone have this exact same bike and run a 12" front wheel? its been on my mind now for a few days. i just think 14" on the front is getting to close to a big bike and kind of looks odd. how do they feel with a 12" on the front wiht say stock forks?

Hey man i was thinking about putting a 12" front on mine but with the 14" and 12" the bike sits dead even. With the 12" my bike will be on a down slope so i didn't bother. The first thing I would do it put a 105 main jet in as the standard 100 is to lean.

you could probally change the rear rim to a 10" and a 12" front rim as the forks seem to small with the 14" on the front.forget about the pegmount just cust the stand mount off

I have one and i think it will be good with a 12 inch front. I lowered my bars cause it felt a bit high so the 12 would do the same. I wouldnt change the bars they are nearly exactly the same as pro tapers. Just the grips and the rear shock is the go. I 105 jetted mine straight up too. You should port match the fibre spacer on the carby to manifold it has a hell lip on the carby side. smooth it to the carby outlet and feel the power difference!. Great bike though. Pretty stoked with it. Got some more bling and some AS 02 forks coming too so it should be NICE then. I kinda still like riding my Atomik 138 more though, it goes a bit better and is super plush to jump. The 138 has a wider power spread where as the DHZ 140 is grunty as down low. Both good just very different.

im thinking of going 12'' front too so any more info is good but motoluver why do yuo say the 100 jet is too small? i went from 95 to 100 an know also with tuning the bike is runing really good not rich not lean perfect
but im going to go to a 105 main jet just to check out the difference between 100 an 105

Because i can hold 2nd and 3rd flat and the motor stops at a certain speed and stops at a certain rpm... it doesn't rev out.

yer my mates dhz does that its like restricted. my 127 lifan seems to feel better than the 140 he has.as for the bars pro tapers are a better bar them dhz things suck, my mate droped his bike once and twisted the **** out of the stocks. how do i go about getting this '105 jet' not to down on the tech side of things. spose just get it from an import shop?

Go to a bike shop and ask for a 105 main jet round type not the hexagon style.

The ones on the left are pilot jets and the ones on the right are the round main jets.
