cost $20 in materials and about 2 hours,

its so much better to ride now, instead of being forced forward all the time with the standard U shaped seat....

thanks man

yeah its from scratch, i couldnt find anywhere that sold high seats for that bike, so i decided to make my own,

kept old seat just incase this didnt work haha, but it turned out so comfy lol,

makes a big difference to throwing the bike around corners now, instead of being pushed up front, it now feels heaps more balanced....

Cheers

seat foam $5
stretchy covering $5
Contact adhesive $6
staples $4

5 beers - Priceless

Makes the bike look alot better! The old seat looks shonky.

5 beers? is that all u could drink!! thats poor effort mate :p
haha, nice mod on the seat tho!

Do you remove the original cover from the plastic base? Then create the new higher formed seat and covering?

bloody awsome mate... gives the bike a whole new look! well done:D

thanks guys:D

LSD yeah i got a secondhand torn seat, and used that plastic base,

than just built the shape outta foam, glued it all together, than put gripper seat covering over and stapled it all into shape....

i rekon the bike stand is a pissa!! old school seat lol. was the actuall plastic chair used in a billiecart by chance!??normally are.. and agree with no-fear.. WEAK effort on 5 beers! black bournbons.. ok. but beer.. could of at least been a dozen!

Oh and the seat looks the goods to! did you consider rather than gluing the foam together to get them(the foam place) to just cut you the nec. size!?? an idea for ya: make em up as a "package" and sell em.. extra foam, cover, etc! be THE buisness to get import seats from ;) lol.

Haha mums a teacher, so i have heaps of these seats in the shed LOL

if i was to do it again, i would have looked around for a 1 peice block of foam, and shape it outta 1 piece, instead of 2 pieces, (couldnt find foam big enough to do 1 peice)

theres def a market for high seat packages for these bikes, cause ive had so many people ask me "where did i buy it from" to fit the 27.....

RB-125 na sorry no photos, in simple terms i took a plastic seat base, and shaped the foam until it looked right, rememebr to allow extra height and width for when you pull it tight with the seat covering!!! than its just a case of stretching cover over and using industrial staple gun and stapling away, while carefully keeping creases out of it,

ive been sewing skiboat seat covers etc for years, so i found it quite easy, but if you handy with your hands its not that hard really....

It looks as though you are building a sik campervan for your dog, powered by a 186, wheelbarrow chassis, polly propelene body kit. Hows this project coming togeter?

haha WTF cass38a!!!!

nice summary of my shed lol

p.s. its a 173ci hehe

Yeah the shed looks good, in addition the the canine camper van you have a compressor and a wipper snipper.
All it needs now is a big oil slick on the floor, a few more tools kicking around, some more half finished projects, a beer fridge, lounge and some posters on the walls and you could move in.

that looks great never liked the stock seats on those bikes they looked like mid 80's mxers

just lend him one of yours... :D or im sure you could just give him one...because you have heaps

yer man no probs... ohh and your order for the 100 gold vibrators has just been dispatched via startrack express... you should receive it by wednesday..:D
