Hey

I have a DSLR.. It's a few years old but still takes a good photo and I'm no photographer so I'm not going to buy a new one. I just need to get it serviced as there is dust on the shutter so it's slowing the shutter speed right down. So when ever I take photos it's so lagged. It's even bad on manual now. I really just need it serviced but I have no idea where to take it in the Newcastle area! Anyone know of any real camera shops around or know anyone that could blast out the internals for me? I've had it done once before... But yeah lack of care while at dusty moto tracks has filled it with dust again haha!

Help!!! :)

You could try a air duster, can of air and a fine blush brush..... I know the new cannon 550d have a setting where you can open the shutter and clean it. Only just skipped through that in the manual, would definitely read up on it before i attempted it though.

Yeah my camera doesn't have changeable lenses or anything so it's not easy to get in to... I've tried ha ha. I will look in to what CJ put up and got some advice on Facebook too. Hopefully can finally get it done and get some more pictures up! Cheers!

im not a camera expert and could be wrong but i thought all SLR cammeras had interchangeable lenses??

Nar, it was the first model of DSLR.. has some interesting little features on it they seemed to drop on the new DSLR's... but yeah it's also lacking a few things like interchangeable lenses which is a bit crap... but I got it so cheap!

What model camera is it? Some of them have a self cleaning feature...

Also, I'm of the opinion that if you can't swap lenses, it's not a DSLR :p

Eh has all the manual settings like a DSLR... but I'm happy for it to be a chunky digital camera... then i could get in to concerts with ha ha.

I dunno the model, but its a fugifilm or how ever you spell it ha ha. when im at home i can get a model number!

Have you read the manual? They usually specify whether you can clean the CMOS sensor ;)

If not, then RTFM!

well, were I you, I would just go to a repair to see whether it can be cleaned, the fee is on my own, bacause the fee to ensure my right is much higher than the repair fee.

:kev:

please re write that i had great difficulty in reading it

i thought cozza said on facebook there is one on the end of hunter street?
