do bmx bars fit mx clamps?

Im in the market for some new bars and i want to get some bmx bars for my 50 only problem now is do bmx bars fit in 8cm mx bar clamps and if they do fit would they slip because the engraving on the bmx bars is narrower than the mx clamps?.Anyway i would try to put bmx bars in my clamps but i have none availible ,ive herd of people sticking bmx bars on there atomiks so i was wondering has anyone done this one this forum?.Cheers

theres no harm in trying ,oi tim i might grab my bars of the wethepeople just to try them out cause they should be very similar to the factory metals ones i wanna get

NO THEY DON'T FIT! i use to have a CRF with bmx setup & 110copy with the MX set up, once you have mx you have to run mx , maybe some gay BMX bars with a huge clamp area but 99% of bmx bars will no fit

out of curiosity i just threw my haro ones on my pitty and they do fit, but i'm not sure how well they'd hold up to a good thrashing... pro taper mini's are just about the same shape and size tho if its the feel your going for... just my 2 cents anyways bro, luck.
