Hey my drz 70's clutch is dragging and after a while of riding the bike it starts to make a noise as if something is loose but this only occurs while the bike is changing gear. Have i caused this problem by being to heavy i way around 60 kilos if so is a there away i can make it stronger?

Thanks immortal

maybe adjusting it? will reduce the dragging and 60kg aint much really they have been through way more hell than that

How would i do that! Being in mind i have not clue what to do

Okay, im pretty sure (only used to the honda style clutches) on the left side of the motor on the casing closest to the exhaust there is a screw i think thats the adjuster for the clutch
so i think you screw it in to make it not want to pull you along so much and out to make it bite but get the bike warm and get it to the point where it is pulling you in gear and then screw it in untill it stopps pulling you along..

if your not confident on my advice (pretty sure thats how these go) then wait for a miniriders master spinner to chime in

Don't reckn its your weight doing it to much!
im 120kgs my girl friend owns drz70 she pulls be along real nice!

Like zwebx said should be ablue to adjust it, be simeler to honda 50 to adjust.

Watt sort of oil got in it? If pot worng oil in it n make clutch slip, eg car oil make it slip as its not ment for wet clutchs.

I doubt its the wrong oil as it just got servicedby suzuki

How long ago was that? Might be worth bringing it back to them to fix. SIDE-NOTE just becaused it was serviced by a dealer doesn't mean it was correctly serviced.... Pretty safe to say 80% of riders out there have been biten by a "dealer" or service agent, thats why most of us learn to do it by ourselves, at least this way we have a rough idea it was done correctly :)

So watt was it like before got service? was it playing up ,or just after got bike back?

If its grinding gears when changeing them, sounds bit more like adjestment problem like talk'n earlyer. Like clutch not disengageing to let change into next gear!

if change gear and hold gear lever up... if rev motor bit dose it try and go forward?? If So
clutch need ajusting. As when hold gear lever up should disengage to let gears change!

I think it may have been caused by my dad telling me that he accidentaly knocked it over and it fell on the side with the gear shifter

did it bend the shaft ? because that could be causing issues with your shift forks and whatnot inside the engine?

Its really not that bent at all if anything the shifting is the problem it is extremely hard to change gear while the bike is on especially into neutral however when the bike is off it is really easy and doesn't require much effort.

have you adjusted the clutch yet mate? after that post results

my mates 1983 RM80 had problems with the clutch a bit like you described.
i pulled the r/h cover off the engine and found one of the linkage levers that connects to the gear shift shaft was a bit bent.
with the clutch cover off, you can see where this lever runs from the bottom of the engine inside the crankcase (you can notice where the bottom of it joins to the gear lever shaft) up to the gearshift star at the top left of the engine
i removed the clutch, straightened the lever up and put it back together again, this fixed up his gear shifting problems
