hi guys ive recently bought a dt 175 88 model for 320 of ebay. goes real well. is there any way to make it faster

ps . i have taken the resrictor out of the exaust header

thanks

Old two strokes, depending on your skill you can open up intake and exhaust ports, and add a pipe they can be improved a lot.
Removing the baffle doesn't do much for these except make them louder. You could look for a pipe from a 175MX or a 125 YZ.

Baffle is in the muffler (end of the exaust) i said the restricter in the exaust header where the exaust joins the head their was a lil washer type peice of metal the washer was 50mm wide and the hole was 15mm once you cut it out or drill it out it has way more power.its a restrictor. my mate took the baffles out of a ds 80 and it was louder and tingy but it had more power but im yet to do that but i prob wont cause a lil back pressure is good.

ya can't do much to them, they are pretty heavy and gutless, tho the 2 stroke engines r pretty fun to muck around on..

Take the whole exhaust end of is what i found to work the most..

better bars with dif bend may be better for riding, and take all the other "farm" use **** off

if you take the whole exaust end off it is so loud.lmao we did it the other day. it sounds way better though. but sprays oil. it goes good enough for trail riding

a cheap way to make it faster would be to change your sprocket setup. bigger one at the front smaller one at the rear. people will say it won't make much difference but it will.

nah its got a great top speed prob 100+ easy a kx 125 is the same until the kx hits 6th gear powerband then the kx goes prob 20kph faster.
if i want to make it bigger top speed you just make the rear sprocket smaller but if you want wheelies have a masive rear sprocket
