you sure mittz? We had a discussion that I think the conclusion was reached that lifan didn't make a 1p56 or maybe that was just a 1P56FMJ ?? 1P56FMJ is a XY motor and did but no longer comes with irk or something like that. In the pitpro 140XR that is the case anyways.
never heard of a 1P56DMJ tho so who knows? does it have any brand markings on the engine cases?
(1P56FMJ) Stands for ~ 1 Piston 56 mm bore ~ F probably stands for "four stroke" ~ M is for manual tranny and J must be for "J" series modifications .
(1P52FMI) is supposed to be a single piston ~ 52.4 mm bore ~ 4 stroke manual with International shift pattern (1D3UP) ..... but "I" series fits in better ....
Earlier auto and manual engine numbers ended with "H" (1P47FAH ~ 1P47FMH) ........ I'm starting to see an alphabetical pattern here ..... ie early motors were "H" series ...... then they brought out the "I" series and the latest are called the "J" series (H-I-J-K-L-M-N-O-P .... LOL ) ........... who knows , it's anyone's guess ........
A (1P54FMI) 125 would have a 54 mm bore x 54 mm stroke ...... be non kick in gear (clutch on the crank) .... and probably be one of those black Lifans with the chrome badges screwed onto the side which I feel are made from salvaged older Zongshen dies (either that OR Lifan actually made Zongshens) since they look identical and the big valve heads on them have the old cavernous monster 120 port core castings with the flawed lip in them plus the cam end plate uses rubber o-rings whereas later model Lifan big valve heads don't ..... you can identify those motors easily because they have a 20 mm output shaft whereas 55.5 stroked motors mostly have a 17 mm output shaft ....
1P54FMI's with a 55.5 mm stroke in either kick in gear or non kick in gear are 127's and most of them are stamped as "138 cc" ......... although I've seen one guy selling 127 Lifans ......
Lifan 1P52FMI's are 120's no matter what BS is stamped or cast on the cylinder .....
