I just brought this frame. I was told it was genuine but I'm doubting it as it doesn't have a few tabs and what not. Just wondering if you could clarify if it's genuine or not. I also couldn't see any numbers on the side of the head stem :(.

Anywho. Where else should I brace the frame? I know I should do the engine mounts and on top of the tube but where else?

Also would it be worth fixing the genuine one on the crf 50 at the moment?

That's what I'm thinking. It should still be able to swap parts and all over. Just have to get a few things weld on to it.

not genuine. but every thing should swap over, head stem bearing's may be different though.once the genuine ones are bent there pretty much trash judging by yours it looks pretty OCC'ED

:(. Oh well. She'll do till I find a gen one for cheap. Reckon it'll be worth getting the old one fixed SAGA?

I love your CRF the way it is!! thats sic, Paul SNR would be proud.

I dunno about fixing your old one man, if its bent in one spot, it could be bent elsewhere, but if yo uare up to the challenge of making a custom frame go for it. I would not try to bent it straight, rather, cut out that section and replace it. and then gusset the fajita out of it. you would also want to make a jig from your new frame, so you get the Rake of the head stem right.

That was my plan. Cut a big section out of the 'back bone' and get the same OD & ID pipe weld it to my 50 frame then get some smaller pipe inbetween the new pipe to give it some surrport then brace it normally but I'm unsure how long that'll hold?

Would I be able to use the black frame racing stock?

dunno, would think so, as long as the dimensions would be the same. well in my racing series it would be ok.

107 bucks postage and no worries mate i feel your pain i brought my 50 and didnt get told it was rewelded so i just purchased a rb frame for it

If only I had the moeny to spend on it. Maybe I'd buy a aftermarket frame but at this point in time I got no money to spend on anything.
