fuel on or off

just wondering is it better to turn fuel off when not riding my bikes one has no choke an is bit hard to start if real cold an fuel is off... i had fuel leaking from the small tube that hangs from the carbie i think when fuel was on an jus sittin in garage

turn em off, and if youre gunna leave them for more than a fortnight, drain the carby altogether...by idling, by undoing the drain screw, by pulling the thing apart, whatever meats ya treat...
