how r yas, first time posting here but have been reading this forum for quite abit, i have a 125cc notsure which motor it is but if its any helps its the one that wont start in any gear if the clutch is in, anyhow engine or gearbox i should say is getting abit sticky as in wont down gear just feels like theres no more gears but there i would be in forth and after about 10 mins of ******* around i can finally get it down to neutral. So is there anything i can do with the gearbox there or is it a touchy thing to do/upgrade, i would also like to know what i can do to this engine to make it abit more stronger, what parts i can upgrade, doesnt need to be a flying machine but i will spend some money if i can make it handle abit more if its easily done. Thanks boys hope to hear some posts.

ps engine is only a week old just ran it in.

also the bloke i bought it from and even on the box says all this crap about thumpster geniune motor, what about some oils to use could it be this thats making the gears really crappy or just some adjusting to do.
Thanks

well mate sorry i cannot help you with your main question but u could get an in rotor kid for cheap of ebay

i have the same prob with my lifan 125 the gears are really sticky and hard to change you have to apply alot of force to change (more than any other bike iv riden) and hard to get into neutral. any idears what it is??

i could suggest changin the oil and i have a lifan 125 and neutral is easy as to get and changes nicely but i hav mastered mi neautral coz mi other mates find it hard to get they always miss it but yehhh

is your clutch fully disengaging? cos if it isn't that can be just as hard as trying to find neutral without using the clutch at all...

my gears change perfect from 1st,2nd,3rd,4th and back from 4th to 3rd is fine but going lower then that it doesnt feel like theres anywhere more to go its chat. I havent changed my oils yet but damn the things only a week old and also it seems that my clutch is working fine seeing the other gears are sweet.

Did you get it off ebay of a shop front ?

Any real issues id be back to the shop owner, you shoudn't be fixing somthing that should work !!! , but if its a ebay bike i think it'll be hard work dealing with soneome via phone or email.

nah the engine i bought alone and fit it into my 110 coz i blew the last engine, going back i dont think will do **** his just a wholesaler that sells cheap without warrenty

hrmm i might be on the wrong tangent here but it sounds more like your clutch to me but maybe the oil too. firstly i would ride it til it is playing up, then have a play with your clutch adjustment. adjust a lil, ride it, adjust it some more.. etc andsee if u can improve the feel in the gear lever and if this doesnt do much then i would replace the oil with some fresh mineral oil and then play with the clutch some more.... otherwise i think ur in trouble

Without Warranty is against the law in Australia, unless you've done something to damage the motor but normal wear and tear isn't covered under warranty so if it died after a long period of time you obviously wouldn't have a case.

But do as you wish, but i'd be pissed... Should atleast try and resolve the issue. Back yard guys need sorting out selling junk.
