Getting 3 bike trailer Rego'd

Hey fellas,
I just purchased a second hand 3 bike trailer and i need to get it registered. It has NO: VIN, plates and it hasnt been rego'd for years. Do i have to go to a trailer manufacturer to get the VIN as the trailer is custom built (not a certain model or brand)??? am i right that you get the plates when you rego the trailer..as in its all one thing...

cheers guys, i rang up the registering and licencing info line and they said to go to a trailer manufacturer...well i think she did i forgot to write down the important parts lol! ill have a look on transport SA's site

Transport SA's site has nuthin on it helpful..looks like ill take it to a trailer manufacturer to get a VIN for it, unless anyone elso knows what to do..i just use it anyay for now and if the cops pull me over ill just say im going to the trailer place now to get the VIN...hmm might look a bit suss tho with three bikes on the back and all my gear in the car haha
