Hi there

im new to the forums and im hoping i could get some good advice on mini bikes thumpsters pit bike what ever you wanna call em

ok first things first id like to buy one but i come to this point and id like to find out whats the better of the brands to get? are there any to steer clear of? or are they all fairly the same?

secondly where would be the best place to pick on up on the northside of brisbane?

and should i get a new or 2nd hand one? i dont really want it to be all kitted out with aftermarket parts stock will do....... ohh maybe after market rear suspnsion? other then that stockish

also how much will i be needing to spend for a decent one which will not fall apart within seconds of owning it...

i dont want it for jumping it just the odd wheelie mainly just for cruising round on in the back yard and mates farm and local parks :p

any help will be much appretiated also if you have some other questions i should be asking that will make it easier for me to choose plz do tell me :D

thanks :)

mate welcome, this topic has been covered numerous times before, try the search button a couple of times and you should find a wealth of knowledge and info

thanks mate! :D

got any suggestions on some key words which i should search?

pritty much if you have the coin, steer clear of ebay... look towards mso or maylands or even the new fusion power products (c4 sometimes advertised here) you can get them posted too you anyway so a local dealer would only be the go for spares or if you like a bike. . . not sure of any shops in the area as i do not live in brissy

oww and to add to that if you take a look on ebay eBay Australia - 125cc, thumpstar, 110cc, Motorcycles items at low prices

eBay Australia - 140cc, thumpstar, 125cc, lifan items at low prices

steer clear away from MXB

pitpro, not many cons that ive heard of as yet

dhz cons they have really crappy suspention

Pro X although most ppl dislike the ducar, the 140cc lifan powered prox would be a good look...

atomic nitrous isnt all that bad either

but i havnt heardd any comments about preditors

there all pritty much alright stock as a bone if your not into heavy ridding but if you start to get more aggressive etc be prepared to start upgrading... might aswell stick with something good to start with that way you dont have to stuff about reparing the dammn thing

Woah thanks for all the help and info guys :D

also i wont be buying it off eBay I'd more then likely be going to a shop and buying it or of a guy from the trading post or something similar

which is why i was asking about stores on the north side or Brisbane :)

small wheel deals at petrie do a bike for 600 i think with usd forks and **** they are allright for a beginnner.

Orion-Dirt-Bike-FX-206JY-01-High-Quality-Shock-Absorber.jpg

and also its an 06 made in 05 obviously... are these any good? if so ill have a look at it and check it out i dont know much about mini bikes but if they are the same sorta things to look out for as normal bikes i should be ok... if theres anything inparticular i need to look for what would they be besides normal things...

man save your money get something half decent at least look for somthing with USD forks lol. Look in the minibike reviews section the majority of pit bikes are reviewed in there thats a good place to start.

im just looking to buy a bike man and ive been told bye alot of ppl that the pitpro and dhz are the best bang for buck check out

DHZ Motor Sports

and look at them on ebay and the pitpros are on ebay to most sell for abot

DHZ $700-800

pitpro $800-900

mso 140s it up then you wont have to replace parts every ride remember the more you spend now then less you spend later so shell out a little more coin now on a sturdy ride or regret it later.I suggest the following
-Mso 140s
-Dhz 140
-Pitpro 140xr
-A second hand Motovert ,Genuine thumpstar ,sdg , xr50 -crf50 etc etc

heyy there checked out them sites and all ad i found this one its not the one you mentioned but its about my price range...

DHZ Motor Sports

now i dont think you all understood this bik isnt going to be raced or jumped merely for cruising around parks and back streets hahahaha and my mates farm big flat rolling planes and my back yard big yard all flat :)
