Hi
I have another post called pitpro 125rr and did not get 1 reply so thought I would try again. Basically I have bought a bike from ebay the pitpro 125rr I got it for $373 I thought it was a good buy so I jumped at it. at first the bike was for myself but after reading what a few people on here have said about these bikes I am not to sure that I want it anymore but it is on its way so I am giving it to my missus so when my son and I go riding she has something to play with instead of sitting under the tarp. I take it that the pit pro 125rr would be a good learning bike for a adult she has rode my Honda XR660 ballard arounf the paddock very slowly so I think tha tshe will have no problem on the pp 125rr

Anyway because I am giving this bike to her I do not have a minni and I would really like one. I am making a trip this weekend to Sydney to go to
DHZ I have been told that they make a quality bike but I would like to know if there is anything on these bikes that I should look out for have they been known to have any faults. The other thing that I would like to know is what upgrades are available for these bikes and what would be worth while. I love playing with bikes and I would like to get the basic model 140 and build a sick minni. Please anyone with some thoughts on these bikes.

hmmm depends on kens price but they are selling for 650 on fleebay
and less ,so i dunno what he wants out of his shop.As for mods he has heaps of bits ,the thing youll need to change out is tyrs and bars, rear and front suspension is avrage to say the least ,that should get you started .Have you looked at our sponcers bikes IE mso and mainlands ,they both have awsome bikes and coz your a member hear you'll get a good deal .Pm both of those members and see how you ,tho ken is a good bloke ,these guys support the industry so support them back with your business.

best of luck on your purchase and pop a pic in our "pics of your bike" thread

cheers

Man , looking at the thread title "Giving it to the missus" .... I thought it was either going to be a Wayne Carey type saga OR something pornographic .....

Yes it's just as Snitchy says ..... you can either try to win a bike cheap on ebay ... then remove all the under par parts to sell off while they're still new to help fund better quality parts ....... OR you can start from scratch and buy a 140 motor ... cradle frame ...... plastics , tank , seat , brakes , billet swingarm , billet hub wheels ..... better tyres ......... Fast Ace or DNM suspension ..... Pro Taper bars ... better exhaust etc ...... to finally end up with a bike that's made up precisely to your own specs (very satisfying in the end but also keep a good stock of Panadol with Codeine and some Valium on hand) ...... be careful to not end up a blubbering mess like Britney spears ....

The only other alternative is to buy a bike that's already spec'd out with all the good parts ..... which most sellers have but don't bother listing on ebay ......

Sellers like DHZ can only offer complete bikes that are feasible for them to sell and still survive in the cut throat world of stingey or financially challenged ebay buyers ....... (like me) :p

The reason that I have chosen to go with the DHZ is because I can get it from sydney a 2 hour drive and chuck it on the back of the ute and bring it home and have it going on the same day. It is my first minni and I really did not have any expectations of it at all I just wanted a bike that ran and I could have a bit of fun with but after seeing a few different bikes and the way that they preform I have come to the conclusion that they are not just toys these things can be and are serious fun machines.
I think the reason that I had the view in my head that they are all just poorly made bikes is because the few that I have seen of friends of mine that have purchased them from ebay and they are of very poor quality. But as I research the bikes more it seems that they can be made to perform at high levels. Thank you very much for your inpoot I appreciate it.

Well that's what I'm saying .... since you're already going to see them .... DHZ DOES have all the good parts but it would be best to buy them all in one go (like a kit form bike) if he matched his ebay prices or cut you a bulk deal ........

Otherwise you have to spend hours bidding and trying to win parts cheap enough to keep the final cost of your custom bike to a sane level ...... (postage on each individual part is the killer) ...... :)

if you do buy a dhz win it on ebay for about 600 other wise hes shop price is about 850-900 from memory, unless he will do you a deal like cactus said

Yes the postage can be a killer. I am going to do that I am going to get the best I can get for the amount that I am willing to spend the 140 k-1 is out of the question price is to much but the 140cc monster is in the price range that I am looking at being that it comes witht he fastace rear shock I need something that is fully adjustable. What tyres do you recomend. I am going to take your advice and try and get everything at the one time eapecially the tyres I do not want to go for a ride the next day rip them to shredds in the first hour I never realised that there tyres are that bad. Lucky I jumped on here and checked all this out because I am going up there tomorrow to get it and it will be together before lunch (cross fingers) and it would have been ridden and warn in nice and easy tomorrow afternoon. Then sunday the fun would have started and the 2 and a half hour drive to where I ride and I would have been out there for an hour and there would have been no tred left. I would not have been happy at all.

Yeah I have just realised that they are on ebay I did not know. I will have a loo into the price that they go for on there the price that he has given me off the floor is $950 lucky. Why pay 950 when you can get them for 600 that way I have more money to play with for upgrades.

Does anyone know what oil they are using for the forks?

Thanks I will be on here for sure I am keen as. Very excited actually havent ridden a small bike since I was 7 and that was my old YZ80J and I remember how fun it was. It has gotto be fun, sometimes I do not feel like going out and trying to throw around the XR or CR. There are 4 that end tonight 2 of them have the fastace shocks, Kenda tyres and adjustable forks. Will be going for one of those ones and I just spoke to the guys at DHZ they said that I could pick it up which is great alot of the ebay shops will not allow for pick ups so save money on postage.

Thanks guys this sit is great.

I have made the decision that I am going to get the bike from DHZ and then go through maylands had a look at there site and they have some great grear and I would really like to support the sponsers of this site with out this site I would have just jumped on ebay and bought what ever was the cheapest bike. Do you think that there will be any discount on upgrade parts if I buy a whole heap in bulk of them.

yeh they may look after you

so what dhz are u goin for not the stock normal one i guess u goin for the monster or somthing i have the normal dhz 140 and its a great bike???

God damn this is hard I just spoke to the guys at maylands and they are great we spoke about the pit pro 140cc and they really helped me out if what (i think it was bian) just said to me is any indication on what they are like I would really like to deall with them he was helpfull he told me that all the guys there ride and they stick by the bikes. It just made me feel more confident in dealling with them.

And you get warranty as well I do not see anything about warranty on the DHZ I am really stuck I do not know what to get they are both around the same price not really that much difference a cuple of hundred bucks aint going to break the bank so what bike do I get the DHZ or the Pit Pro 140 of maylands.

We'll leave that one for you to decide ....... just do a google search by typing in the names of the bikes and check out the specs and pics of the bikes to see what you like ..... then there's always ...... put a pic of each bike in front of you ... put a blind fold on and play .... eeeni .... meeni .... myneee .... moe .......

^^^^
lol mate if u are going to get a 140 make it a pitpro 140 xr not just the normal 140 there alot better bike for about the same price they have fast ace rear shock ,better frame ,newer engine ,better forks ,klx platics
